1986 Fleer #88 Paul Pressey PSA 9 – The Original Point Forward Ahead of His Time
Long before the term “point forward” became a staple of modern basketball, Paul Pressey was quietly pioneering the role in Milwaukee. Standing 6'5" with sharp instincts and exceptional court vision, Pressey had the size of a small forward but the decision-making and playmaking skills of a lead guard. Throughout the mid-1980s, he served as the Bucks’ primary facilitator—defending the opposing team's best wing, initiating the offense, and contributing across every major statistical category.
This PSA 9 example from the iconic 1986 Fleer set features a crisp image of Pressey in motion, framed by the bold red, white, and blue border. The card exhibits excellent centering, sharp corners, and clean surface quality—hallmarks of a well-preserved copy. The visual composition reflects both the control and versatility that defined Pressey’s game.
