More than a century old, the 1914 Cracker Jack #68 Honus Wagner belongs to the original 144-card issue that was distributed inside packages of Cracker Jack, pairing baseball’s greatest stars with the set’s unforgettable deep red backgrounds. Unlike the 1915 cards that could also be obtained through a mail-in offer, the 1914 issue was born alongside the candy itself—making surviving examples tangible artifacts from baseball’s Deadball Era.

Graded PSA VG 3, this example represents one of the most important players found within the legendary 1914 checklist. Wagner was still an active Pittsburgh Pirate when the card was issued, giving collectors something especially compelling: this is not a later tribute to an old-time great, but a playing-era card of the Flying Dutchman, produced while one of baseball’s original superstars was still taking the field.
