1986 Fleer #55 Steve Johnson PSA 9 – Interior Efficiency and a Soft Scoring Touch
Steve Johnson was one of the NBA’s most efficient big men during the mid-1980s, quietly building a reputation as a low-post scorer with excellent touch around the basket. A former first-round pick out of Oregon State, Johnson spent much of his early career as a productive frontcourt option for the Kansas City and later Sacramento Kings. By the time this 1986 Fleer card hit the market, he had already shown flashes of dominance, shooting high percentages from the field and providing reliable offense in the paint.
This PSA 9 example offers sharp presentation with rich, balanced color and a clean photographic finish. The card captures Johnson mid-action, set against the bold tri-color border design that defines the aesthetic of the 1986 Fleer release. With crisp edges and strong centering, this high-grade version stands out among a set known for both its historical significance and condition sensitivity.
